About Feliciouz/Vaguez/Fernandez Families
Feliciouz is the anglicized form of the Portuguese surnames Felizes or Felices or Felicio.

The Felizes/Felices family could have its origins from Portugal. The Feliciouz family were known as Clements-Feliciouz, part Irish and part Portuguese mixed with Indian and a sprinkling of English coming from the Bastian part of the family. The Clements part of the family were of Irish origin, hence Felizes was anglicized to Feliciouz.
The European ancester's (name not known) son was James (Diago)Clements- Feliciouz married a Bastian. Their son John Clements-Feliciouz married Eliza Fernandez from Tangesseri, Quilon (daughter of John and Francesca Fernandez). Having two surnames was common among the Portuguese. However those born after the 1900's were not given two surnames hence the 'Clements' which was the Irish part of the surname was dropped. The subsequent generations came to use the surname 'Feliciouz'
